Frenkie de Jong has replied to rumors surrounding his future, stating once again that he is content at Barcelona and has no desire to leave Camp Nou.
According to recent speculations, he has changed his mind about his future and is considering a transfer to Manchester United this summer after learning that he has been placed on the market by Barcelona.
However, the Dutchman stated that he is still glad to be a Barcelona player, in the post-match interview after his side won 3-2 against Wales in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.

Despite all the reports to the contrary, De Jong has made it plain that he wants to stay in Barcelona. His newest words show that nothing has changed.
This week, it was reported that De Jong has changed his attitude on a move to Manchester United and is prepared to leave provided the two teams can agree on a deal.
De Jong’s recent statements, on the other hand, indicate that his links with Man United aren’t true, however, that doesn’t sum up the Red Devils’ dream of getting the Dutch midfielder to Old Trafford.
What is the current stance on Frenkie de Jong’s transfer?
As reports came out from Rob Dawson from ESPN, the only obstacle between these two transfer windows is the negotiations over agreeing to a fee.

Barcelona seems to be reluctant to sell de Jong for less than €80m, however, the English giants are also not willing to pay over the asking price of the Catalans for the midfielder.
Having said that, there are fewer chances of this deal getting collapse following Barcelona’s financial crisis and Man United’s desperation of strengthening their midfield area.
Man United has spent over a month speculating this deal and with Erik Ten Hag’s first signing ahead of his new rebuild, there is no way that the Red Devils won’t strike this deal.
Our Verdict
It is only a matter of time before we hear the ‘Here We Go’ from the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano over Frenkie de Jong joining Manchester United permanently.
