The Yorkshire born Kalvin Phillips is seriously attracting interest from their fierce rivals United.

Manchester United have seems to head towards the upcoming English players, as they turn their attention towards Leeds main man.

According to reports from Daily Mail, the Englishman will have to take a big risk in moving from Leeds to Manchester United.

Leeds fans have always been bitter about the Red Devil’s achievement and the two club’s have a had a big hatred for each other in the past.

On the other hand, Phillips will be looking to make the switch to a English giant after spending most of his life for the Whites.

However a move to Old Trafford would need some heavy convincing for the Reds staff in order to get his signatures.

The 26-year-old have already impressed many of the Premier League fans, with his ferocious work rate and ball playing ability from deep, which is what makes the player so special.

In addition to that, Phillips have also proved his worth in the Euros after earning a place in England’s first team.

The England international has made more than 230 appearance with 14 goals registered in a Leeds shirt.

His contribution for Leeds have been been vast since their journey from Championship to the English top-flight

Though his performances for the North England side has caught many people eyes, but a move to the Mancunians will an obstacle for the midfielder.

United may have identified an exciting prospect to strengthen their midfield department but as per report from the UK outlet, the odds of this deal is less likely.

Our Verdict

United’s new boss Erik Ten Hag would have already have different options in place if Phillips opts to reject the proposal from United.

Manchester United have already targeted Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Declan Rice, and Frenkie de Jong as their ideal defensive midfielder for next season.

Ten Hag definitely won’t be oppose to bringing in Phillips into the mix but the Dutchmen would prefer to sign a much better option rather wasting time in an hectic summer transfer window.
