Manchester United have finally appointed their go-to man after months of speculation Erik Ten Hag as their next permanent manager.

Touted as the hottest managerial prospect around Europe, the Dutchmen has his work cut out in his new journey at Old Trafford.

As a Major rebuild is needed at the Theatre of Dream, the entire fanbase is well aware of the awaited period of this new era.

However, if the board gives the tactical sounded manager the given backing time required, the glory days won’t be that far.

And the enormous craving of them United fans getting the 21st league title will surely be on the horizon.

Let us take a deep look at how the Dutch mastermind will implement his tactics

1. Making players play in different/various positions across the pitch.

The Dutchmen has a variety of formations in his system, whether it is a 4231, 433, or 343, the manager is able to make his play in every shape and form.

As the new campaign is yet to kick-off, Erik Ten Hag will preferably go with his 4-2-3-1 formation in his first season at United, with players interchanging.

Taking his most recent Ajax side as an example, when they have the ball we often see really high and wide wingers who stretch the pitch.

A central midfielder joins in the no.10 and on the attacking midfield line, while the other is joined by the right-back as the left-back.

This usually created a back three with the center backs, this shape resembles a 3-2-5 in the build-up of the game.

But as a proprietor of positional, it resembles a 3-2-2-3, which makes it, even more, harder for the opponents to read the plan.

A big part of this positional play is maintaining a certain number of players on a horizontal and vertical line.

That is, a maximum of two or three players on each line at any time and this strictness is what makes positional rotation so frequent.

This also means that players get clear instructions to rotate the structure whilst off-the-ball movement to manipulate the opponent.

The attacking structure also provides a greater starting point for Ten Hag’s, counter-pressing which will see in the next segment.

2. Counter pressing

Another remarkable aspect of the 52-year-approach old’s is his ability to properly deal with the opposition’s press.

The multiple positioning skill also helps the players to get swarm out of the opponents to regain the ball inside their own half.

A mind-boggling tactician who was scouted by several other clubs shows what an innovative coach the Dutchmen can turn into.

The counter-press basically means that his side will look to pounce on any side of the pitch regardless of their opposition’s strength.

This plan also helps in dominating the game completely and dictating the game according to how we want to play.

But how will Ten Hag set up with the current bunch of players?

As the current Ajax man will have to go through the upcoming transfer window, we have made a theory on how the mastermind will select his players.

David de Gea will be expected to stay in the backline but it won’t be a surprise if Dean Henderson gets a chance to showcase his passing skills to the Dutchmen.

Meanwhile, a back four of Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw, is believed to be featured in the Ten Hag’s system.

While we have picked a 4-2-3-1 formation, and with Matic’s departure being imminent, we assume that a new defensive midfielder will be slotted into the mix.

Reportedly, Donny Van de Beek is about to get his chance under his ex-coach at United, and a box-to-box role for the 25-year-old is well on the cards.

Bruno Fernandes will unanimously be Ten Hag’s preferred choice, despite the current poor form of the Portuguese man.

Upfront there is still a chance for the Rashford to prove his worth to the team but the Dutchmen would prefer Anthony Elanaga as his right-forward.

The Swedish has been pulling up trees since getting promoted into the first team and the teenager will be keen to impress his new head coach.

It is well predicted that Ten Hag will have no problems in keeping Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo into the starting XI.

The 37-year-old has still fuel left in his tank whereas the Englishman, who will be a favorite of the Dutchmen by bringing creativity.

As there will be multiple players signed by Ten Hag, let’s take a look at how what players will he bring in

The former Bayern Munich II coach has improved Premier League rejected players in his team, the poor distribution of the Spaniard from the back will be well sorted out within months.

In the heart of the defense, Ten Hag has been desperate with the talent of Jurrien Timber who is currently playing at Ajax.

As United will be a shortage of defenders in the summer, the youngster’s switch from Amsterdam to the Premier League is a likelihood.

And it is anticipated that the Dutch international will be flying into Manchester in a United shirt with his new manager.

Along with the universally expected center back in Raphael Varane, as his two ball-playing center backs.

Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot are both scheduled to be included in Ten Hag’s first season at Manchester United.

As United will be having a limited transfer budget, Ruben Neves will be the preferred option for the club, who is already on the transfer list.

United have been crying out for a midfield option in the CDM role for ages and a top-draw coming will be brought into the team.

The midfielder two will be two top-notch technical players, who have the skills and the talent to play in Ten Hag’s system.

The so-called Portuguese Magnifico will undoubtedly be in Ten Hag’s team and his plan for the future.

On the right-hand side, United will definitely need an upgrade on Elanga and therefore Ten Hag’s fanboy Antony will be a well-suited option.

United board has already started to plan out their purchases in the summer and as per their manager’s demand, the Brazilian is a top priority for them.

With Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, fitting in their new manager’s system.

Erik Ten Hag will be having tons of work to do in his new life in the Premier League, but his imagination and vision will surely take him to his destination.
